its not a Bird, Its a Sears (and exlcusive only through them). At one time they did call them Runabouts, but by the time that version was made about 1972/73 they were just called a mini bike with a model number designation.

Dorman # 20729 (Do an eBay search) might work just fine for you. I believe that all the various bikes made by Bird Enginneering used the same one. Years ago, my son and I purchased one at our local Auto Zone years ago for one of the Sears Ropers we restored. There is a thread with photos somewhere on this forum about it.

It does. That SR logo appeared on many sears products starting in the late 60s. I have a sears 3 speed (made by steyer- Puch) bicycle from 1968 with that same logo on it.
