About a 1984 Briggs 130000 5hp block. Has been sleeved and bored to .010 over with Wiseco piston, rings are fresh. I pulled one ring off and it was at .006"-ish gap so fine tune that when you assemble. Valves have been ported and maybe some seat work done. Block is clean with no repairs or damage that I see.

$100 plus the ride which should be 10-15 depending on location

Mr. M who does your sleeve work? Ive got a few old specimens that would problee out live me if they had a descent sleeve installed. Ive lost all my contacts that used to do things such as that.

I bought that engine that way many years ago (well assembled) so it was not me. I have only bored cylinders for O/S piston assemblies, and I can do Aluminum and steel bores. Just the basic engine rebuild stuff around here, nothing too terribly fancy.

Thanks for the input. I have a few that run but would be alot fresher with a sleeve and not cause any of the neighbors to point upon start up. I dont have to tell you as im sure you are quite aware these period correct items are getting scarce so as competant in machining as i feel i am im still hesitant to try sleeving one of them myself un-supervised. If it was a predator or something of recent id stick it in any old mill and go for it. Appreciate the honesty.

That is a nice block for sure, someone really knew small engines and put some very clean work into that.

I believe I have heard that Los Angeles Sleeve Co., can install sleeves on small engines.
