Briggs 3.5 on db30

Anyone done a Briggs flathead on a DB30 that has some advice about mounting and chain alignment?

I don't know that I would bother...? Seems like a bit of work for a .5HP upgrade. A vintage American flat head in a new school Chinese mini bike doesn't even sound right. Stick a clone or Predator in there if you're going to do the work.

No engine when I bought it and the Briggs is an extra. Predator is going in my Murray. Just hate to back burner another project.

Do it! They look great in the DB platform. I agree the 5hp is a better choice but if you have a 3.5, order the adapter plate and you are set!

If you re-slot your plate you can put nearly all of the engines on it even a Predator 212cc. My Daughter's 3hp DB will run and hide from a stock one and it's easy to maintain.
