Briggs carb ID?

I have nothing that tells me what the carb numbers go with what engines.

Is there a place on line that translates numbers to what the hell they go to? :doah:

What does # 496863 carb go to? Jeese you'd think people would just say what they are. :censure::censure: Any good info pages?

thats definatly is a carb for a 4.9hp briggs built on June 3rd 1968....

Try going to The Briggs site and go to the breakdown of your engine, by your engine #, and similar ones. That's how I find what's what when they are too ignorant to tell what it fits.

Thanks silent, it's a float bowl carb with choke and it's just been rebult. I got it for $14 shipped and was hoping it was for a 5HP. :thumbsup: I have alot of engines so I knew it would fit something but it will be perfect for one of my 70's 5hps.

Jim, I tried that and a bunch of other places and no one seems to have a good site with what the hell the parts numbers go to or are!!!!!!! I don't have a good Briggs manual with these listings yet either. :doah:

GTO - I think I came up with a couple of model #'s your carb is used on; #93412, #93432, #93452. I used the M & D website to find them, here's there link www.m-and-d.com/parts.html
