Is there any coating you can use to fill up the holes that the rust enhanced in the fuel bowl in the tank?

what about some JB weld gas tank epoxy, smear it around to fill the holes and after it sets up use Caswell or Redcote sealer..

I'm not 100% on which carb it uses. I've gotta go look. I bought the setup used. From what I found it was the more common carb (doubt that helps tho). I've got the rebuild kit so I can pull the numbers and that might help.

Looks like a newer type carb. The holes for an older pulsa jet are quite different.

Yep newer style of carb, but still a pulsa. Looking at your tank, I'd just get a replacement tank. I saw a couple on Ebay this morning. One of them was the deep tank your carb is set up for. It was pretty reasonable.
