Always torque a flywheel to the proper torque speck or it will always brake the key.
For an un governed engine if the flywheel is not billet its dangerose. I dont think the new flywheel you chose is billet so I woulden't trust it.
points suck. Removing those points altrogether is a cheep mod, just buy a coil off an newer non points motor and install it then cut the wire leading to the points. Points under the flywheel are hard to reach so eliminating them makes for a more reliable easyer to maintain motor.
I built a briggs raptor, basicly the racing version of the motor you have there and put it in the bike in my avatar. It's hevily modified so if you have any questions fell free to ask.
