The trick is usually making sure you have the vertical clearance, since you have to raise up the engine for the torque converter to be mounted. Had to go with a separate gas tank when I squeezed a Predator into my Taco ST-100, running through a torque converter. There wasn't room for the attached gas tank.

Here are a couple Bonanzas that friends are running with Predators, but with a clutch, not a torque converter. You can see the potential vertical clearance problem.
