Cat Eliminator rear shocks... how do you take them apart?

#1

I have been working on cleaning these shocks. “Made in Spain” is stamped on them. Someone thought they would look better painted blue. I decided to get rid of the blue paint. Would like to take them apart if possible without destroying them. Any tips?

The bottom aluminum part unscrew from the rest of the assembly then there is a little retaining pin that has to be removed for the rest to come apart . definitely not as easy to take apart and reassemble as sebacs

That is where the lower unscrew from the tops .. I put the top ring in a vice and used a screwdriver in the lower ring for leverage and mine came apart pretty easy .. You Wil see the tiny retaining pin once the bottom is off
