Hello and welcome! Nice Baja! Typical 196cc clone (Chinese copy of Honda engine), 6.5 HP. Make sure the PTO (end of crankshaft) is 3/4" (it should be) and order a Chinese CVT (AKA: torque converter) with a #40/41 sprocket ($50-55 on eBay and elsewhere). They come with metric bolts (4 mounting bolts and one crank-end bolt); it seems that most clones have SAE threaded holes, so you will probably need SAE bolts (don't mess up the threads by using the wrong bolts like some people do; if the metric bolts don't run in easily, you need SAE bolts; don't use a bolt that you can't run in with your fingers). OldMiniBikes Warehouse sells an SAE bolt kit to simplify things. @noseoil has built a few of these bikes and could advise you on what works or doesn't. Baja is defunct but the website is still up, you may find some useful information there.

Thank you so much.what is the bolt kit called at OldMiniBikes that I order
First link posted above. You can get the bolts at any hardware store (for much less, I imagine) but I don't remember the sizes and thread pitch. You may not need them; I know the 212 Predators do, but I don't know about the Baja's 196. The OldMiniBikes kit is $10 + shipping (free shipping only on orders over $150), or you can buy it through Amazon for $12 with shipping included.

CVT is the way to go. I grew up on centrifugal clutch mini bikes in the 70s and now have scooters with CVTs. The CVT will allow you to go up steeper hills and maybe a bit faster. I haven't experienced one on a Baja yet. I just got mine the other day and it's the first mod I plan on. There are youtube videos on the installation and results.
