COLEMAN CT200U. Torque converter?

First check the size of the crankshaft's output. If it is 5/8" the you will not find a TAV for it. You need a 3/4" crankshaft (PTO) output. After that it is pretty straight forward. This video will give you the idea whether you have a predator or the original clone that came with the bike.

Do I need to remover the clutch to measure that? Am I better off just selling the motor that it came with if its a smaller diameter and installing a predator?

It can be measured with the clutch bolt and washer removed from the end of the crankshaft.

If you do not want to open up your engine to replace the crankshaft (appx $35), then sell your Hisun and buy a predator. Before you sell the Hisun and its gas tank you may want to see if the Hisun's tank can be used on the predator. You will then not have the gas cap issue that you see in the video. It should fit.

If I was in your situation I would just order a clone crankshaft and swap it out. But that's just me. Others have bought a new engine just to make the torque convertor install easier.

I thought I saw an adapter sleeve somewhere that fit on the 5/8" crank and allowed a 3/4" clutch to fit. The adapter had a key with it.
I just looked but can't find where I saw it... :-(
That would be the cheapest and easiest thing to use. I'll keep searching. If I find it I'll post it.

From SAS289 "The factory Coleman engine's shaft size can be figured out by the last 6 digits of the VIN. Last 6 037962 and after are 5/8. Any number before that has the 3/4" shaft."

Also is Ebay the way to go and I'll probably get the chinese kit but want to order a good belt as well as a spare belt to throw in an ammo box that Im going to mount with some tools so I'll have a small repair kit on the bike at all times.

OldMiniBikes Warehouse is the place to go for parts.

Here is a link to the Toque Converter.

That's an old video, 1.5" raise is WAY to much. There is no issues when raising it 1" whatsoever.
A TC is an easy install, just raise and install kit.
Even though in the video Tom said "It's like an inch and a half or something", it's clear from the video that he used 1 inch square pipe. However old the video is, it does give the basic idea of what it takes for the install.

My point is they are talking about gas cap issue and not being able to remove it. There is no such issue at all, I don't want it to deter others from doing a TC install, it's a night and day difference.

Couldn't you just put a shim under the rear mount? Maybe 3/4" to 1". That way the engine would tilt forward and give you more room for the gas cap plus room in the rear for the torque converter.

Hello, anyone have info for putting a torque converter on a Coleman CT100U 5/8 ?
What gains are you looking for? I suspect that the only gain would be low end. Once the belt shifts you'll realize you are in the same position you started with, and that's a low power engine.
