..Coleman Mini Bikes at Wal Mart..

#1
I had to go to Wal Mart tonight to get stuff for a family reunion, and as I was going by the garden section I seen a mini bike front wheel sticking out from behind some grilles. So I had to do a quick check.. and these are some great looking bikes...pretty well built and only $499.00...:shifty: hmmm !?!?

I like the Coleman i got at Walmart.$499...only 2 things I not like..1st ..the chain tension adjuster connected to slotted rear wheel mount..no matter how tight the axel nut is..mine moved forward from torque breaking that..moved wheel all the way forward and adjust chain moving engine forward now.2nd ..whimpy 10 mm heads on engine mount bolts hard to get grip on ..going to put gote tote style plate ahead of motor you will get dirt dobbed....I'm going to put new engine mount bolts w 1/2" heads ...the good ..the 19" tires ride cushy even with no suspension.6 1/2" ground clearance..upright sitting position...6.5 clone decent power...it is heavy..sturdy... IMG_20160908_232043.jpg IMG_20160826_114805.jpg I made a sissy bar out of front rack...I'm no camper..cheers

China mini bikes blow!!!
While they are not up to the standards of old they are popular to rod out and they have introduced mini bikes to a whole new generation so they do serve a purpose.
My almost 11 Granddaughter has had her 79cc Motovox MBX11 since she was 8 ... low cost, anemic, great parts availability ... easy to fix, added a PMR jackshaft and now it will pull an adult no problem.

I prefer the Heathkit and Healds but for the kids the Chinese bikes are great!

Just my 2 cents

Wish they local wally worlds would carry something like this but with the local demographic about all we get is low hanging pants and gunshots at night. The only thing in the lawn and garden areas right now are marked down dead plants.

I ordered mine from Walmart. Took a couple of weeks. Had it shipped to my local store so it was free shipping.
I have never seen them in walmart either. I did see them at camping world.

can someone please tell me the exact Torque Converter (comet) to buy for my coleman? that centrifugal clutch system is wack. Iv seen posts about upgrading to the converter but i want a part number or exact converter to buy. i know im going to have to cut to allow the system to work but mainly need the exact model and specifications so i can buy the right one. PLEASE HELP!!! this clutch started trying to grab while idling just from me trying to teach the girlfriend how to ride it. didnt even have it on for 25 minutes! i can grease the clutch but would rather upgrade to avoid all the hassle...

All I can tell you is you will have to modify mount and engine height from what I've seen in tech section or join Coleman group in profile..YouTube vids..you gonna have maintenance on any clutch/jackshaft or tav..get a oil bottle with telescoping tube on it..that what I use to lube clutch..a few drops on bearing..I got mine long ago in HVAC work I did ..refilled it with synthetic oil I use in engine to use on clutch bearing..that clutch will grab some at first start until it gets shoes worn sometimes..but do lube clutch

That's what Iv seen too when researching. I have castrol gtx advanced full synthetic 10w 30 in mine but I need to find a telescoping tube. I contacted Coleman and they are supposed to service it but I have no idea where they are going to have me take it.. They prob won't do anything. I didn't know I needed to break it in.. I still might do the conversion but with the torque converter would I still have to lube jack shaft every 5 hours?

IMG_20160519_173737.jpg use this on chains.spray on.once a day get in walmart automotive section..the best.. IMG_20160910_084519.jpg .this is the bottle.I empty it and fill with synthetic oil ..I use it on clutch and wheel bearings..under the red cap is a thin telespout you pull out for hard to reach places..Google it it can be gotten online..you will need to learn basic stuff..changing oil..chain adjusting..replacing if needed...tightening nuts ..bolts.. look on YouTube..as far as torque converters..I'm not that guy
