Crack in Plastic Gas Tank

#1
I have an old Manco Tank for my Thunderbird. It is in good condition but in has a small hairline crack around one of the mounting holes. In the picture, it's at the bottom of the hole. It about 3/4" long and goes to the hole. I am not sure if it goes into the hole or not. What would be a good way to fix it?

Go down to your local hardware store and look in the adhesives section. There's this stuff called Plastic Welder that comes in a double syringe, and is made for fixing holes and leaks. Scuff up the outside of the tank a little with some sandpaper for maximum adhesion, squeeze out equal amounts and mix then together, apply over the holes, and no more leaks. I recently used this stuff to repair a Zooma goped tank ... worked awesome, good stuff.

OR JUST go to the auto parts store and buy a can of Red Kote it seals the inside of you tank. and if it was to ever crack more it wouldn't leak But do JB weld the out side to stop the cracking. Crack isn't good for you:eek:ut:
