Crankcase gasket repair

#1
I was wondering if I had to take off the bolt in the middle? The one holding main sprocket? I tried to but all it seems to do is spin and tighten and spin again. I took off all the bolts around the side but doesnt wanna come off freely? Should I try to pry it off with something or use a hammer? Thanks for any input.

Shouldn’t be that tight. A wrench and something to hold the clutch it should come right out.

after the bolt is out the clutch should slide off. Sometimes you need to use a 3 jaw puller to pull it off. Sometimes they come right off.

I typically don’t silicone the gaskets. But some do. A little RTV goes a long way
