decided on motor for mini chopper! what do you think?

i have decided on a 5.5hp honda engine on my first somewhat succesful mini chopper , i am prolly gonna get clutch and chain tommorow and hopefully take it for a ride!...lol... View attachment 46097

May I ask if the is a support running under the engine plate?
And are you running a jack shaft?

hahaha, thanks, there is nothing rlally supporting it, his is the third time iv tried to build one, (other times i dint have a welder so they failed pretty bad...lol) i used a PW80 swing arm and front and back wheel, and got a piece of one quarter inch steel for the mounting plate,and it has a lot of braces on it...lol...

It seems the front on the bike would be pretty flexible
would worry about the frt bending in half!
Are you going to put some supports between the forks?
Just wondering don't want to see anyone get hurt on these things.

i may it just depends, i am thinking about making it a trike also....cant decide though...

making it a trike would eliminate leaning in turns and then you dont have to worry with the front rigid foot pegs gouging into the pavement and flipping you off.

hahaha...well i guess that is one way to look at it, i have two old cragair style car rims and tires i could prolly use for the back end...
