i have a bonanza mx1410 is what i was told. it has a engine but is mising the carb and it is locked up. the question is do i fix the oem motor or get a different one. and what whould be a good match for the bike.

save the original motor if you can, find out why it's locked up. It might be something simple. I had a briggs that was locked up once, it turned out to be a valve rusted into the guide. The most important thing is to not damage the cylinder bore taking it apart.

Your Motor could be replaced with another 5,6 or7HP tecumseh and still look the same as factory.And the plus is you still have the original motor...so with that your all good.Just find a good running Big Block Tecumseh Engine and there you go.Look on the engine shroud at the top for numbers and let us know what they are and we will tell you what exactly the engine is that you have.
