Flywheel removal

#1
Evening:

Have a Mini Baja clone I am trying to refurbish. What is the easiest and best way to remove flywheel?

I think the right question to ask is how do I get the nut loosened off the shaft without hosing up adjacent parts. Thanks in advance for your help.

I think an impact wrench is the easiest way to loosen the flywheel nut. Don't use an impact to tighten it!
That is just stupid.

Honda may as well tell you to jump off a cliff if you think pulling on cast iron is smart.

TRUST ME ( but of course you have no idea if I am full of shit or not ).
Iron is weak in tension.
Do some research.
Pulling on an iron flywheel you intend to spin hard is a REALY bad idea.

I would not stand anywhere near the firing line around an engine with a flywheel pulled as the manual states.

You choice however.

That would work, IF the flywheel comes off easily. Of course if it came off easily, the puller would be overkill anyway. i have been fortunate so far, I haven't had a flywheel on a horizontal shaft motor yet give me trouble. Can't say that about vertical lawn mower motors.
