Fox Campus Minibike Build

#21
I fired up the little scoot today, 12-13-23. I have to admit I cut some corners. License plate fenders, homemade seat, stainless nipple extension for the exhaust, retrofit Honda brake actuator to make good the drum brakes. The engine came from Glenns Army Navy Surplus in Ohio. I had to pull the side crank plate to remove the governor mechanism inside the engine and mount a bar on the frame to accommodate a gas tank. The Chinese carburetor was modified to mount to the engine manifold and sourced the throttle from Amazon. There is lots of tweeks as well. As previously mentioned about the jackshaft mount being too high. The answer is a soft yes, but proper tension on the chain and stiff shocks made it "OK" If I were to do this kind of project again, I would stick with the original jackshaft position.
