Hi everyone, this project log is to show the progress of a George Barris bike that I found.. it's the Mini Dragger model, when I found it, it looked really rough but when I took a closer look, it was actually in great shape.. the frame is straight and all it needs is a small repair on one side of the foot peg mounts.. Wheels are the original astros with the original tires(dry cracked ) and it has the original working Victor drumb brake. The correct tecumseh engine is in it and fires up with starter fluid in the carb. Fenders are there and nice too. Here are some pics of how I found it..

I'm sure some people are thinking "who added that crazy sissy bar?" But that's the way they came.. the only ad I have seen for these does not show a sissy bar. But I have seen two other mini Draggers and both had the big sizzy bar.. here is a pic of the ad and of one of the two other mini daggers that I found. (The other was on ebay and can't find the pics I saved, looked exactly the same besides the paint, was just a little more faded.)

Click on small pics for a bigger image.

Hardest things to do will be to match the seats and the decals.. lime green will be easy because there was a nice glossy patch of it left under the grips. It's already taken apart and the frame has been sandblasted.

If anyone has one, or more info, please share. Would like to see more George Barris bikes out there. The plan is to finish this one within a few months and take it to George's shop hoping he will sign it.

That is a killer lil' bike! It's going to be awesome after it's stay in the Dan-e-boy mini bike salon!

btw... I think Sly has one of the other bikes on that brochure just in case you run into a question that may be standard to both models.

My wife approves of the mini bikes more than she would the girlfriend, but not by much

Nice find Dan! And thanks for telling us whats under the blanket...it was bothering me not knowing...lol.
Thanks Hounddog:thumbsup:...as for the bikes, I just put a blanket over them to keep the dust off. I hated going in the garage and seeing them dirty so instead of doing what I intended to do walking in there, I'd end up spending time cleaning them

Thanks:thumbsup:
