Gilson - Montgomery Wards Chain / Clutch Guard Question

#2
I think the clutch models all used the same cover. All the ones I've seen have been similar enough if there was any difference I couldn't spot it. I've only personally seen one TAV model and only pictures of the 2 speed ones and couldn't compare them side by side to see any difference. From my understanding the TAV models used a different little bit larger jackshaft plate so the cutout on the bottom of the chain cover might be a hair bigger on them.

Good luck finding a cover. I'm still digging in the barn where my 424 was pulled with my fingers and toes crossed I find it's cover. Only freaking piece missing off it.

All of the covers were the same. The TAV version used a deeper guard bracket, but the guards were all the same, with the exception of paint/chrome/decals
