Gopower Wheel Repair and FTGH Tire

#1
In a weak moment another minibike followed me home a few weeks ago. Instead of a Taco it was a roller Bonanza (BC1300? maybe). I have another Hodaka engine sitting on the shelf ready to go so this seemed like the perfect home for it. As the Taco 100b/Hodaka project is at the gas tank fab shop I pulled the wheels off of the Bonanza and started to clean them up. Apparently this thing has been sitting outside as the bolts holding the wheels together were seized like nothing I had ever seen before. Heat, lube, drilling was tried and nothing worked other than all of the above then attempting to tap the bolts out with a drift. That did not go well as a couple of the bolt boss's on one side chipped out. So the question is: As these are cast wheels can I just tig weld up the broken spots and redrill the holes that hold the rims together? The damage is on the inside so the repair would never be seen. I ordered a new set but I would love to save these original wheels if I can.

Second thing is that I ended up with one tire that I am not going to use. It is a General Jumbo Jr., 530/4.50-6. I have seen people ISO of these original tires so if there is someone out there that wants this one and is willing to send a shipping label they can have it. Otherwise it is going in the trash.

Indirect experience...I have had aluminum Go Powers repaired/welded by others, tough luck if they are magnesium. Post a classified for that tire, don't let it get thrown out, someone needs it!
