Finally found a Cat in my neck of the woods.
She is missing the torque converter, but the plates are still present.
She has no brakes but has the factory drum sprocket.
Guy said it was a 5hp, when I got there and looked at the tag it said HS40.
I'm like thinking "Yes!" but I couldn't let on that I would rather have the 4hp.
According to the tag it is a 1971 motor and it runs awesome. Great compression. She has a new Hilliard clutch which I have never owned, works well but takes awhile to lock up. Probably just the gearing and my fat azz.
Hauls groceries once it does lock up.
Got her home and had to remount the seat, so while I had that off I cleaned up the rear shocks and replaced some bolts.
Remounted rear fender, cleaned carb and pulled forks cleaned and lubed front pivot bolt.
Enjoy the pics.
Later,
Keith
