What size bolt is used on a 5/8" PTO shaft to hold clutch on? I've had a machine shop drill & tap 3/4" PTO's a few times and was going to have them tap this 5/8. Thinking it would be a smaller size bolt since thinner shaft?

I cannot speak for Tecumseh engines, however the Briggs engines with a 5/8" crank end I have had that were drilled and tapped from the factory were for a 1/4-28 bolt.
