Help me identify this random part that fell on the ground.

I just created the account, now I will figure out how to post pics.

I've been tinkering on my baja warrior, and just noticed a random thick washer laying on the ground. I don't recall removing it from anywhere, so I'm hoping someone can identify the part and tell me where it goes.

The things I've tinkered with are as follows, so hopefully the part goes to one of these areas:
-replaced pull start
-removed stock exhaust and rear chain guard
-removed clutch
-removed and cleaned carb and adjusted governor
-removed handlebars to replace the risers.

Hopefully this will help someone determine where the washer goes. It's a thick one, so I'm guessing kind of important...maybe a spacer?

The outside diameter is 7mm and the inside diameter is 5mm. It is 2mm thick.

It actually fits inside the crank, but not on the crank. I was wondering if it might be a spacer that goes under the bolt and washer that holds the clutch onto the crankshaft. I have a great picture, but I cant them to post.

If the crankshaft does not come all the way out to the bushing face then they likely spaced it and that is the spacer, I've never taken a Warrior or Heat apart so I cannot say for certain. If I had to guess why it's tapered I'd say from wear.

It sounds like we're all in agreement that it makes sense to be a spacer on the end of the crankshaft. It does fit inside there perfectly and it also takes up the right amount of space to make the crankshaft flush with the end of the clutch bushing.

I'm going to place it there until I find a better spot for it, or until something falls off the bike to suggest that it was missing that spacer. :evil_laughter:

Thanks for the replies, folks!
