Hex shaped shaft

#1
I just picked up a pressure washer with a 3.5hp Tecumseh engine. Tore it down to use engine on my grandson's mini bike a baja dirt bug.
Well, the shaft ended up being an inch long hex shaped horizontal shaft.
Has anyone delt with this before, if so how. I want to put a centrifugal clutch on it.
Help

Never dealt with that but you'll need to replace that shaft to use a clutch on it. What year is the engine? I have a couple of crank shafts laying around, taking up space

Be careful on that one, its a 1996 and you might have a tough time finding a crankshaft thats a direct fit, you may need to either swap the sidecover or the rod depending on the crankshaft. Not sure what they had for crankshaft options with the combination that engine used (one inch journals both sides with small connecting rod)
