Homlite Trail King

#6
Hello Fourtogo,

I just saw the post about your friends Trail King, absolutely beautiful! I'm a collector and want-a-be bike restorer.
I have amassed a collection of eleven TK's now.
Since I've been riding bikes from childhood, and I only live about 12 miles away from where the bikes were made. I fell in love with them.
The road is named after Clayton B Merry and the plant building is still standing. I meet with the only know living employee of the Merry Equipment Company the other day, great stories.
I'm going to be building a display and writing an article on the bikes and have been searching everywhere for the Homelite color brochure and it looks like your friend has the Holy Grail!!
Can you please ask your friend to take some good up-close pictures of it (and one panoramic) for my article.
I'm not sure where he lives but if there is ever a chance, I could see it in person I would be so grateful!
Thanks for your help!
Tony

@Fourtogo

This should alert him to your request.
Very nice story. Can you start another thread and tell us about that factory and your meeting with the employees?
Thanks sparkwizard I've got my fingers crossed and yes I need to write a post about them
That would alert him only if he logs on, which he hasn't done in nearly three months. Send him a private message, he should receive an email notification if he hasn't disabled that feature. To send a private message, hover over his avatar and click/tap "Start conversation" in the box that appears (or do so on his profile page). You really shouldn't post your phone number or other personal information, you could provide it in a private message if you want someone (but not the whole world) to have it.
