#1
Building a Themed Mini. Attempting to do a White wall Tired, Red Rimmed, Bobber mini with 5hp briggs, Having fun with the details, paint, hardware, frame mods and touches of rat rod type styling. Started life as a coil springed 1970 Montgomery Ward 525. Im sure its been done before, but its what I like, My next mini build is a Catepillar themed tractor mini with Chevron tires, pan seat, PTO, 3 point, stack with flapper, cat paint.

Looks like fun, I always wanted to do a bike with white walls. I've seen guys cover the seat in "hankercheif" material too.

The motor looks great in GM blue, the stack looks good too, what is it from? or did you make it? Also painting the netting on the flywheel red is a nice touch.

I'm doing a rat rod bobber build as well I'm likeing those white walls dude check mine out
make sure the back tire sticks out... Lower is better in my opinion mine started out as a 71 scatcat looked like a dirt bike. Good job making your white walls too I just bought mine. Can't wait to see the finished product

I like the Wards bike. I have one we call the Rat Bastard because all the things that we used to make it are from different things and I mean different. The engine has a Mikuni carb on a home built intake and a Tecumseh air cleaner, it's a short shaft 3.5 briggs with a spacer made from a 1/2" socket that allows a clutch to bolt on only. The engine alone should not be. The rear wheel is a DB with the sprocket and brake rotor swapped to center the wheel, the brake works great. The axle tabs were relocated 3" under the frame and a bicycle frame section was grafted to the Arco frame and it is extremely well fitted and welded even better. We plan to rat it up more and have already added an oval shaped steel tank, an old edger 3hp with lots of patina will be used with a flojet carb this time. We love it and will always have it. It's the one minibike I will not sell and I have some good ones.
