I need help selecting the right performance parts

#1
Hello everyone. I have a 212old style. Getting ready to order parts, im taking out my governor so I'm going to get a fly wheel rod a cam new springs push rod lifters and maybe rockers. The only thing is I don't know which to get. They all have different specs and I don't want to get the wrong one or waist money.

this would be kind of a basic easy to install set up... for the arc stuff there are vids on how to install the parts on most of the links even how to lap the flywheel, 22-27mm dirtbike carbs are cool, can be had at under $40 on ebay.. however make sure it is a keihin or appropriate knock off as there are some where the jets are not the typical jets but that will change the parts list a little...

this is a BASIC motor and I learned the hard way, if you want to go faster, you need more displacement... either big bore or big block

Rod
6256 Billet Rod, HF Predator +.020 3.328 - ARC Racing

if you are not sure your piston is at least 20 in the hole then use
6254 ARC Billet Rod, HF Predator 212cc - ARC Racing

Flywheel
6625 ARC Billet Flywheel, Predator, Non-Adj - ARC Racing

side cover stud kit
GXC-114-K Stud Kit, Sidecover GX200/Clone - ARC Racing

head stud kit
GXC-305-K Stud Kit for GX200/Clone Cyl Heads - ARC Racing

140 etube

Jets you will have to read the plug... you can get a .035, .036 and .037 if you want to test and tune it a little and go from there or just start out with a .036

push rods (standard pred length, you need 2), if you use billet or roller rockers you may need a different length...

Cam/Springs, standard black mamba cam with the 108 LSA and 26 lbs springs

if you havent deleted the Gov, then you will need a couple of bolts/nuts, which i can post sizes and pics if need be

ARP engine assembly lube (or whatever you use)
FHS oil from http://www.smallenginecams.com/ after your break in or whatever you use
blue and red loctite
12 point 1/4" socket
lapping compound for flywheel

much else will require a little work on your part, checking the clearances and ring gaps, etc... im still playing with my own advanced porting etc. so i dont have enough r and d, under my belt to feel comfortable helping you there, all my good heads were done by a friend/s i trust

billet lifters
STORE
you can grab these from isky with the cam and springs... if you go with the longer lifters, get the appropriate length push rods from him also.. pull down menu...

also, Youngengines has done a ton of R&D and on his dyno and he has threads floating around with great info... i had a thread on a basic/stock bore and stroke, but expensive hemi build, but it seems to be gone since the new site.. some people get away with using more stock parts... and i have built a ton of these basic motors in the past... for my self, kids, friends, etc... I had no issues with the parts as far as "bolt on"/safety, but they were never "fast" enough for me, so i tend to get into much more expensive builds now...

much bigger displacement projects including the vtwin... long as you set your goal and stick to it, then you will have fun cruising around on the basic motor... if you think you want to race etc... then you may need a "little more"...
