Is anyone else fed up with this?

Every member counts, and we all learn no matter how dedicated or educated we think we are in this hobby. I welcome every minibike owner to list their minibikes and parts for sale here even if it's why they joined. I've kept my minibike money separate from my pocket money and support my hobby by selling off the extra stuff.

You joined a OldMiniBikes website cause you like old mini bikes but are mad when someone signs up and sells an old mini bike. Doesn't make any sense. You have a better chance getting something cheaper here than eBay. I like when items are for sale in the classified section because there are no vintage mini bike stores where I live, so besides eBay this is the next best source
this guy gets it:thumbsup:

Just remember opinions are like assholes. But it is a forum with conversation not just bullet points. It can't always be black and white like everyone complains about... And if the forum goes to hell because the rules aren't followed then blame Chad it's his job now...lol.jk

I hear that, sold lots of stuff just to get my Drag bike under way.

As for people just joining to sell and never post again, its nice to find the bike or kart without a search. If they don't want to live the forum life and add to the community, its their loss. This is a Great place to be,

this guy gets it:thumbsup:

I should've probably worded things a little better, it's pretty disappointing when you see people literally just sign up to use the forum to sell the stuff they just found at the dump.

I also get a little disappointed when people sign up just to try to score free appraisal services (and then as Harley's papa said), it goes straight on Ebay for a fortune.

I'm fine with it. If it drives traffic then at some point somebody will stick around and contribute. As far as appraisal threads go, nobody made you click the link, nobody forced anybody to type and hit reply. It comes down to choice, and evidently choosing incorrectly ruffles feathers. If they post an item for sale and then deliver the item as promised its a non issue. Unless your name is Hent you shouldn't be getting aggravated over people stopping by for whatever reason. Well minibike related or on topic. Keep the viagra spam in your email. Now that shit annoys me. One forum I visit is inundated with I can't belive it, my aunt just paid $68,000 cash for a new jaguar, and you can too, just follow these easy steps to work at home and you too could pay too much for a new jaguar.

I just visit the site because I'm a gear head and owned 2 minibikes about 45 yr ago. I pick and choose what I look at, but if I were involved as most are, yes I could see the aggrevation of being used. But at least the site is being visited and used....

I do enjoy the lack of drama here and pretty much enjoy every visit I make.

Thanks for the website and the topics I get to read.

sounds like you need something more important to complain about. if you knew nothing about minibikes and someone was offering you 100 dollars for an 800 dollar minibike you have, would you rather that guy get screwed or maybe get what its worth and possibly pay his rent, put food on his kids table or help pay for his wife's medical bills

you dont know what people's situation is so before you go condemn someone for their actions, consider that they may be going thru something very tough, and this website was where they discovered they could get that money they needed instead of getting ripped off by someone taking advantage of someone's ignorance

and thats coming from someone who has been BOTH of those guys at some point in time.

get over it, enjoy what you have in life and dont complain about stuff that others do that dont really even effect you or truly hurt anyone. there are women and children being shot out of the sky, and bombed in gaza day and night.

First post! Haha So nobody can say I didn't contribute before I started selling off the farm!

In all seriousness..... I've been into mini bikes for a long long while. The learning was slow. No internet, no digital cameras in every pocket to record what you saw, because you might not see another one again. the internet changed all that. Sites like this one have been very helpful to a person like me. I lurked and read damn near every thread for years and years and if there was something I felt I could answer better than the resident professors I would have. The fact is what ever it is I know I learned from them.... So I never saw a need to join.

I did however intend to post my collection for sale on this site because I wouldn't even know some of these bikes existed without this site. I also feel like other have said before , that the members on this site would benefit from having first shot at the bike or parts. And being that you guys actually now the true worth of these bikes, nobody should be able to pull a fast on the members.

I have a couple of complete volcanos, a nos Viking, a minty bombardier bantam, a cris cycle, a few really clean broncos (including a nos tx6 with box, the bike is actually on the doodle bug web site). I also have a Indian bobcat, papoose, mm5a (forgot name). I have ysr 50, sst50's ,BSA mini bike and about 20 other odd ball mini's , who's name I can't remember , imported in the late 60's and 70's. Lots of hard to find parts. Nos morin I motors. Nos minarelli motors. That's just off the top of my head.

Now I'm not sure what to do....... :)

Welcome. I for one would love to see photos of these great bikes, especially the Chris Cycle and BSA but photos of them all would be nice too. And list them here, I for one welcome a chance at least to possibly buy a minibike or parts. I do well selling my things here and there is no reason you could too, just make sure and read the posting rules sticky at the top of the classifieds page especially concerning prices and no Ebay or craigslist links and you'll be fine. Sounds like you have some awesome machines.

Then its settled! lol I'll post up some pictures in the next day or two.

I always loved the chris cycles. I had both models not long ago, the green sport model and the red aircooled model. I sold the red one two a collector who had been hounding me for literally years! I guess he earned it! the green sport and a 3/4 roller parts bike are all thats left of the chris's in my collection.

That broncco has been in the living room since I brought it home. still flawless.

anyhow, I guess I got some pictures to round up.
