I've seen enough

I have a personal friend that lives in Ukraine (he worked here for a few years and is part of the Deathtribe) and he's given us some updates on the board we use to communicate. He wasn't willing to stay here because he couldn't get his wife here legally.

Here's his latest one from Aug. 18th:

Cheers DT!
As you all probably know russia is not just supporting terrorists in my country but sending their troops to Ukrainian territory and killing civilians. Basically we have an undeclared war here. Thanks to yanukovych regime Ukrainian army was almost totally destroyed.
Now we are trying to build our Army back. But due to awful bureaucratic system, betrayers and lack of money it is extremely difficult and takes years that we don't have.
Europe and US helping us with sanctions... Better then nothing - definitely...
Every day 10-50 soldiers are dying in battles with russian occupiers. The only people who can act fast are volunteers (and no doubt I am one of them). They are buying bulletproof vests, first-aid kits, thermographic cameras, etс. by their own cost and sending all these items to war zone.
Unfortunately their budget is limited. So I'm kindly asking you for help and support. Consider it as my personal call. And many thanks if you will!
Several of us are willing to send some money but are worried about the possible repercussions of doing so.

It may make a bit more of an impact if you can see the face of the person that's quoted.

Originally I expected a push into the Ukraine to make falling back to Crimea a way to keep it, rather than contest its port only.

This end of "The West" doesn't have any economic rationale to get involved.

Moreover, the minority are ethnic Russians. They and some business interests want to be Russian.

But as long as the word "terrorist" is used, and the news continues one-sided reporting, we'll have people saying "we need to get involved." AGAIN.
