Gerald, I have never messed with drag bike bars, but I was the suspension guy on a 1000 HP door slammer for a season.
No springs on the bars. Bars were marked with chalk and checked for chalk wear and adjusted as necessary after each run.
Conditions requiring adjustment- changing tire pressure. (We ran around 8 PSI) Track temperature, engine performance based on air temp, or barometric swings, or traction issues. All of the above go hand in hand. IE if anything changes between runs, everything changes on launch.
Bars were never used to control wheel stands, but to compensate to build traction. Definitely adjusted them separately as yours are. Initial settings are tricky, but once you get them dialed in using the chalk as a reference, a lot of problems go away such as torque lean on the launch, and tire spin.
The bars at static were very close to the ground. Too close, and inherent squat on launch broke traction. That's my two cents-worth. I think you've built something viable there, and will no doubt see improved launches if tire spin, or excessive/uncontrolled wheel stand or side ways launches are a problem. With the vids I've seen here, a lot of guys appear to be riding the bars the entire 1000'.
Nice job as usual.
