Well it’s a good idea to have an adjustable jet over a non adjustable one.
“Engine isn’t responding like it should” is kind of vague. Could be a lot of things.

I think its the carb though.

Would they need adjusting? They have always been fine.

I think it is both belt and carb. Because the carb it has on now is really old and has decreased in performance.

I have some carbs from the 1970s that work just fine. Not sure there is an expiration date on carbs?

Well I mean OLD because it sat with gas in it for years.

Not worth it. Cleaning out works in the short run for me. Its only a $10 carburetor.
