Hello, getting ready to disassemble my bike and get it ready for powdercoat. I want to save the original serial number/model number sticker and reapply after it gets done. Does anybody have any hints on how to remove without ruining the sticker? Thanks
Can't hurt if you don't stretch it with high heat settings, especially if your work area is cold, maybe get a third hand for hair dryer and try Dave's method.
I've tried similar methods substituting WD40 but never had a decal I would put back on after removing.

Depending on your ambient temp, a bit of heat wouldn't hurt, but only to let the goo gone capillary beneath the decal better, not as a means of removing the decal itself. Excessive heat will ruin the decal.
