Montgomery Ward T555 Terrain Cycle

#1
Hello everybody,.....I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Joe,and I'v always had a strange attraction to unusual mechanical devices,Minibikes,go karts, trikes, etc, etc. My first minibike was a 1976 honda z50 (metalic blue),and loved it. My dad had a tube frame minibike, but I can't remember the brand, but would know it if I saw it. It was red and had a red clinton four stroke engine, centrifigal clutch with jack shaft, and folding foot pegs.

I just picked up a green and black Montgomery ward T555 Terrain Cycle two days ago. Its in really good shape for being about 40 years old,but is missing the jack shaft, belt and driven pulley. It has the original 5hp engine. I would sure like to find the correct parts to get her going. How many did they make? Any idea? I think mine is #930. I think I'm getting addicted to minibikes and trikes, and have the "Youtube disease" of sitting and watching old minibike videos.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Thanks for reading,Joe

Welcome Joe : Being hooked on the trikes and mini bike will find your in good company around here. In the last 2 years there has been a lot of trikes of all kinds show up. You need to show us some pictures of your machine.

Could somebody tell me what comet driven unit (part # and diameter) I need, and which belt I need for my Wards T555? Part Numbers would be super helpful. I need part numbers! Also, and I know this might be a long shot, but can anybody take a picture of the jack shaft mounts with a ruler next to them, and the jack shaft itself,so that I can make some mounts and know what length I need? PLEASE? I promise to post pictures of my T555 very soon. Maybe even today! Anybody have the correct jack shaft mounts for sale? Thanks in advance,Joe
