need picture of top of carb on baja mini 5.5hp

I still cant get my baja mini to run after I sprayed it with water, I am thinking something is missing off the carb by the way it wont idle like its not getting proper air/fuel mixture, can somebody post a picture of the top of it after removing the air filter, for the 5.5 engine, all i can find are pictures of the sides of it

have you fully disassembled the carb to make sure there's no water in it? if you're running the stock air filter box there's really nothing that's going to just fall off.

it shouldn't. if you aren't running the stock filter box you can't use it anyways. most people just stick a filter on it and leave it. you can see the little filter i'm using in the attached pic.

wow thats awesome, where did you get that carb? and is that the same bike and motor as mine?

that's just one of the cheap 22mm Mikuni carbs you can find all over the place. i've also got the AGK adapter. that's the 6.5 clone i have in my Doodlebug, it's basically the same engine as your 5.5 (you can swap most parts between a 5.5 and 6.5).

thats cool, where do I get those parts? what catalog number?

AGK just has one adapter for the Mikuni.

doing the carb/intake/exhaust actually gives you more power and removing the governor just gives you access to more rpms (and the power available there). that means more speed since how fast you go mostly depends on the gearing and rpms. if you remove the governor, it would be a good idea to get a billet rod ($60) and some 18lb springs ($8). you need to open up the case to get all the governor components out.

you'd probably be better off reading on here about the TAV. i'm not sure how to explain it so it makes sense easily.

i realize this doesn't answer that too well. once i got to the TAV part i figured it'd be easier if you just search the board.
