Hi Guys. I'm reliving my child hood by restoring an old Dune Cat for my daughters.
I had one when I was kid and loved it (blue one).
I am looking for a few parts. The wheels on the one I now have are pretty rusted and rough. I need to find new replacements, or used ones that are in decent condition. I would also give anything to find either a second complete Dune Cat, running or not. Or at least a body for one so that I can build a second. That way each of my daughters can have their own.
If any of you have any old Dune Cat parts lying around, or have any leads on where I can find some, I am very interested. As I said, I'm having a hard time finding the wheels right now. Most everything else I can find or build. The wheels are 8" wheels, the fronts use a 1.375" OD and 0.75" ID bearing. The rears are also 8" and are keyed for the axle. The axle is 1" diameter with 3/4" threaded ends and uses a 1/4" key.
