My 1950 FORD Has a Mercury Flathead ! Does that count ?
Close enough.
Dad had a 90+ year old man that we sorta "kept" and he towed cars with his 39 Ford wrecker with a Flathead and three Stromberg's up until the mid 1980's, I guess... Gus was his name. He was a bachelor and rumor has it he had children in every state but never knew any of them. He was also in WWI and WWII, Awesome old man.... Now his nephew has the wrecker in the garage and they keep a trickle charger on it. She'll fire right off.
That is one garage we all would have a hay-day in. For Real. Stuff you could only dream of. Sitting under 2-3" of dust. there is at least 3 crated NOS Flatheads in there that I have seen. A '50 Harley his brother bought new. Massive amounts of Offenhouser parts. Unreal. About a 1/2 a mile from Dad. It's an old service station from the 40's that Gus' brother owned. It is just the way it was. It's like you went back in time. I don't know what will end up happening with all of it. The "Kids" are in there very late 60's to 80 now. But the one is sorta in charge but you can't deal with him. Super nice guy but nothing is for sale.
End of story.

Wasn't there only like a one or two year production run of Mercury pickups. I saw what looked like a re badged 56 ford pickup, but that was in the early 70's. And that was the only Mercury pickup I have ever seen in person.

Yes they where Canadian Fords. Some where hominagized "I think I butchered that spelling" for USA. Dad was telling me some story about when he was a kid or something, I forget. But a Canadian Co. was down doing pipeline work and all their trucks where Mercs.
