Original DoodleBug Upgrade Questions.

Hey guys it has been awhile.

Well a few years back I bought two doodle bugs for my twin girls. I also put the hot rod jack shaft kits on them. Well the girls are 12 now and pretty much put grown them. My nephew who is 8 is riding the wheels off them lol.

Well I am looking at doing the motor upgrade on them so the girls can use them more.

Is some one on this site still selling the "everything you need" upgrade engine kit?

Was also thinking of putting a harbor freight engine on them?

Also can I use the jack shaft kits that are on the motors now on the new bigger motors? Hate to have this jack shaft kits go to waste.

Not trying to spend a fortune but want to do it right also.

Hot Rod Minibikes sells a kit to install a Predator 212 from Harbor Freight, find it here

I believe that the jackshaft kits use the same plate for both the 97cc and 212cc but the gears are different, check with HRM but I think you can swap out the sprockets and re-use them on the new engines.

You can also get a few bucks for those 97cc engines if they're in decent condition, I guess the gas powered bicycle guys like them, sold mine on ebay, got $50+ each for them.
