Just as the title says, I'm replacing the bearings on my Powell driven. Also I'll add some 1/8'' spacers between the pulley halves so I can use a 3/4'' top width 20 series TAV belt. This is the driven torn apart.
This is the main shaft with the old bearings still on it...bearings are a press fit and need to be removed. I used a 3/8'' bolt and slipped it in to the hole on the shaft and then tapped the shaft through the bearings ...Its not a real tight press fit.
Original bearing part number .
New bearings crossed over from old bearing numbers.
New bearings installed on the shaft...little oil and a body hammer and they went
right on.
Ok ...so I need to make this driven accept a 20 series V type TAV belt ( not A symetrical ) this pulley is for a 5/8'' belt and the 20 series is 3/4'' top width. So I need to add a 1/8'' (.125) spacers between the pulley halves ...so two 1/4'' flat washers measure about .135 thick, and that will work. So two washers per hole.
