No luck on the wheel ??
I have a welder looking to see if he could do some magic on the bearing housing. I will know tomorrow. I did find a plan B wheel from George3 the sprocket has a few chipped teeth but will work if the aluminum welder can't. I'm still in it. My wife threw out the clown wig and red nose, So I gotta finish.

I have a buddy that is getting a bunch of Nissan bolts re-zinced. He said he pays one lot as opposed to each piece. Said I could throw in a few bolts if it doesn't jack up the price. I have a few wing nuts left. In sad shape but better than nothing, also the swingarm bolts. If this doesn't pan out I will clean and paint them. IMG_0979 (003).JPG Powell Bolts.JPG

Not gonna use the Honda with overspray. I have a box clone from a previous unfinished project. It needs a rod and other safety stuff installed and I am not good at that at all. Erik triple G has been kind enough to do this, my motor is at his ranch awaiting parts, hope this is not a DQ. B3391AF8-12A3-4FE4-B4D6-E90567DABBAE.jpeg

Small setback took the aluminum wheel halves to the polisher, bad communication on my part went to pick them up. They were sitting on the bench looked beautiful like chrome. When he flipped them the faces were still fugly. I cheaped out and said just one side, it was early and I guess I wasn’t clear. Anyways if the faces look as good as the back. I might have to plate the forks. He said hopefully Friday. This is what they looked like. F4D38A23-4950-4F49-A56D-BAB155C9AF46.jpeg

Powell forks have a small square tab on the left for for the round side of the axle to but against. Mine snapped of long ago I secured a donor and asked my buddy Brian to tack it back. 162C675D-17CA-4A79-AF3B-2FD614AA9D00.jpeg

Not much to report I was painting the steel wheel halves and axels and sudden rain came and I got frustrated and took them the brake and seat bracket to powder coater. Side note when I stripped the brake I am pretty sure it was plated. Don’t think chrome but maybe zinc. I was fortunate enough to score a parts bike from a member yesterday, same as mine a C model with no shifter or pad, but this one has the tilt plate intact. I mainly bought it for the longer forks the ones on the right are my original they are like 3” shorter from the early models the ones on the left are from parts bike they are tweaked but if I can get them straightened it’s off to the platers, Also CarPlay Erik is making my motor fancy big huge thanks to him. The part I really wanted from this bike besides the groovy rear fender is the driven. Which has been monkey humped in a way I have never seen before. I may use it or keep searching. 66584491-C3B2-4CF6-ACB7-37A790009AD1.jpeg BCE74ADC-8D1C-474F-B0A1-02BE187A0507.jpeg 8FA830F7-4558-445C-8347-74F110980947.jpeg 701D1CE1-0D79-455F-9B38-A30DF09FBEE3.jpeg B52C9651-537B-4D3F-B9D2-3DEFCE4F5DB0.jpeg

I remember that Markus had a Powell with painted forks. He wanted to peek under the spray paint and found nice chrome. He always has great luck like that. Well here goes. Under the black is red and under that..... 06B3860F-37A8-48A8-94F4-83FC12E1DA70.jpeg

Well rust is under the red. I will see how the handlebars strip. Might be worth throwing into a garbage can of oxolic acid, gotta try. 91F51AD0-0D24-450C-B61D-D13141E50D08.jpeg 6C072F5C-333B-495A-99E2-A142EB2D08D2.jpeg

Just a thought but perhaps you could consider a entire new drive system ( basically a jackshaft ) , I had to on mine and glad I did it worked out great !
