Problem with new clutch?

#3
You have the set screws tight and the key in it.
Thats weird.
Know what? I will double check. I know I put it in when I first put it on, but it is totally possible that my son has taken the unit off and put it on again, as he is constantly playing with it. It is set up with the sprocket on the outside, so if they weights weren't spinning, I may not have noticed.

How stupid would that be if the key just wasn't in it? :doah::doah::laugh:

OK, New question:
If you were a 12 yr old boy, where would you put a clutch key?:laugh::laugh:

Went out there and checked, sure enough, the clutch was just sitting loose on the crankshaft. :doah:

We'll get to the bottom of this tomorrow!

That made me laugh, William is three and 4 or 5 of my sockets from my best set went missing, asked him every day for a week where they were and got nuttin. Then had to spray my walls with silcon from all the rain we've been having and jammed between the bricks were to sockets. I go to get the ladder to reach the top of the wall and in the hollow rungs three more fell out when I picked it up:doah::laugh:

A least key steel is cheap - and we get to rag you about this for eternity:laugh:
