pullstart problems

my predator pullstart won't engadge until it is almost all the way out. i get a 6 inch pull and im afraid i will break the rope. will the old clone starters fit? and it stalls all the time at idle :doah: the rpm's are up to just before the clutch catches.

Rewind and tighten your spring.

Clean your jet in your carb.

only get 6" of pull? should be like 6 feet....

Pull start arms might not be kicking out freely . Lube the little plastic arms and make sure they come out when you pull the cord.

yes the genuine honda ones will fit, but don't waste $15. try to fix yours with what these people said.
