Does any one know how to remove the lower portion of the fork on a 675? I pull the living hell out of it on my vice, hammer on it and it will not come out for anything, they must have been pressed in there really good. Its driving me nuts!!

I need to replace the springs on my forks.

Any help is welcome

Thanks

I recently pulled the springs out of some tote gote forks. It appeared the tube had been crimped in a couple places to hold the seals in. After I removed the screws ( 3 in each tube) I was able to push the seals in far enough to see where they were hanging up. I used a small pry bar to push the crimped areas back out. I then used the bar in the axle hole to tap the slides out.

Sorry, i don't have any parts connections. You could probably measure the seals and find a replacement. My springs came out in pieces, too. Haven't decided what to do.

Found my old post on the seals: CR 6741 oil seals. 1.1" OD, .688 ID. Available everywhere.

If the 675 has the same Orlando rear shocks as the 670 and 780, here is a parts list for rebuilding them:
U-Cup Seal, 1/4 height, 3/8 ID, 7/8 OD. McMaster-Carr PN 9691K52
Buna-N O-Ring, Dash Number 119 McMaster-Carr PN 9452K83
Buna-N O-Ring, Dash Number 022 McMaster-Carr PN 9452K76
