Replacing plastic cam in newer briggs 3.5

good chance you can . i had done it on some motors swappin cams and cranks from mowers to minis bike blocks . i got a plastic cam ill look and see how it compares out to a metal one

What I'm going to do is try and warm up a new 525 series. Same as the 3.5 and 4hp motors I think. so I was going to find a metal cam so I can get it reworked. I've read a post somewhere that a guy reworked a plastic cam and used tec. lifters to achieve more lift. that might be a way to go also. I know these aren't the engines yoiu want to use to make max HP. I don't care about that I just like having something a little different.

ok unless ther is some big change in the 525 series the 3.5 and the 4hp are way different .
the older 1.25 to 3.75 briggs had the same block size . then it was the 4 and 5 hp blocks . measure your cam gear width and length of the cam . :shrug::hammer:
