I just got a call from Allen1967 to let me know that our buddy Dan passed away yesterday. I don't have a ton of details. I have been told that Dan was riding is bicycle on Friday, as he usually did to keep his heart healthy, and he had a heart attack. He was in the hospital for a couple days but was unable to recover.

Man I am just sick right now, he was such a neat guy to hang around with, never got to do it enough, now I wish I had made more time for him.

May you rest in peace my friend.

Thanks Chris. I did not know. I spent a couple hours with my "buddy" Dan on August 24 after work. I picked up 2 chilada's(the tall budwiesers with clamato) We hung out at his son Jessie"s shop and watched some TV and shared some good laughs and jokes. Wish I had stayed longer and BS'd more! Im gonna miss my friend!! Rest in peace buddy! My sensere condolances to his family. Jason

That is truly awful news! What a nice man Dan was!!

I spent a day up at his place 3 years ago and then saw him a couple of times at the races up in CenCal and we spoke and PM'ed monthly! He would send me the funniest messages, often busting my cahones over a post I made in OldMiniBikes.com 2 years ago about fork angle for flat track racing! Just a month ago I called him to try and get him down to Funday!

His son seemed like a nice guy, so sorry for him, losing your dad is tough!

RIP Dan, glad I had the pleasure of your friendship!!

Unfortunately Jesse Lost more thanjust his dad , he lost his best friend. they were probably the closest father and son team I've ever known. Dan has been a terrific friend to myself and so many of us in the Central Valley. we will all miss him very much.

I have some first hand knowledge of what it means to loose someone so very close and such a big part of your life. May the prayers of a few be a comfort to Dan's family and friends.
