Shipping an engine questions

I have a few engines that I might sell, wondering the best way to box one up?
mount to wood? Double or triple cardboard?
Also what shipper? Fedex, UPS, USPS?

Last one I shipped I mounted it to plywood, built a wood cage around it then stapled cardboard to the wood cage.

Fed ex appears to offer reasonable quotes if you Use Their box.
Mount to plywood and lots of packing material.

I shipped a 6hp Tecumseh. I just used a box that was close. I put a couple layers of card board around it, the rest paper. Tapped it up and it was fine. I think the weight was 42 lbs or so. Lot easier than I thought. I did take the tank off

I ship a lot of dirt bike engines ,and usually I find a cheap cooler to ship them in .They are lite ,cheap ,and tough ,and the end user gets a cooler out of it .

Mount on plywood, when handled in shipping and dropped, the block will crack.
