Maybe he can feel what it is like for rest of the American people. Oh, that's right, he has friends with lots of cash who keep paying him to continue to screw the middle class.

So what exactly is it you want?

How much can goverment actualy do in 2012?

What politicians do you think have a plan that will correct the " Problem " with the American way of life?

This should be interesting

Newoldstock, that is exactly why we, meaning the middle class American people, are so frustrated in our govt.
It seems like no matter who is in office, we are forgotten.
The politicians got into office with this plan or process. They get there and they find out the system of you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours.
Get richer as well as their special interest groups.
The poor and those supported by the "govt" are just along for the ride. There is no light at the end of the tunnel or if there is, it is very dim.
The, already, rich continue to get richer. Not a care, as long as the boat is in the water and the landscape man has the yard looking nice.
Now us middle class folks, who have attempted to live the American fream continue on a downward trend, unless some unforseen fortune lands on our laps. The promise of work hard, get married, have a couple of kids, and live happally everafter is becomming like the poor. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting dimmer.
If we don't get off our asses and hold our govt officials accountable, we are in deep, deep manure.

Old Ukranian saying.

" There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Its a train.... "

I am going to try very hard not to inject any of my own Non American politics into this thread.
I am trying to learn something myself.

Our present "Government" and "Judicial System" is a joke.

A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circlue of our felicities. - Thomas Jefferson

That says it all right there.

My wife and I are comfortably upper middle class. We have both worked hard to get where we are today. She spent time in college got a degree and works every day. I started in the coal mines at 18 and I am still there today making a very nice salary with monthly production bonuses.

The way I see the government today people are rewarded for laziness and me and my wife are punished for being successful. We pay for the lazy people of the world who don't wish to better themselves. I started out my first job slinging hamburgers, I knew I did not want to do this for the rest of my life. So I worked hard to raise above that.

I am rambling, to sum up the way I feel is that, if you are successful it feels as if the government feels you shouldn't be. That if I work hard to improve my life and have more than my neighbor I am a bad person. I don't know what happened to people taking pride in hard work and acheiving the goals they want in life by those means. Instead everyone wants a hand out and free food.

Its about all I can do to stand at the store and watch people swipe their food stamp cards awhile I work for my food. And I will fully admit when I was young(5 or 6) my mom was on welfare. You know what she did, she took an accelerated course in Nursing at the local college finished in under 14 months and got a job to get off welfare because she was EMBARESSED to be on it. People today are proud of their handouts. It was a hand up to her so she could better herself. Which in my thoughts is what it should be, not an excuse to be lazy and sit at home and smoke pot.

Plus 100%. Have another, get a raise.
But, what can we do? Those of us like you work and can't get ahead.
Don't get me wrong, I have food on my table, good health insurance(at almost 800 per month) live in a comfortable home, and that takes all I have. Nothing extra. My vacation is going to the beach, twenty minutes away. Then comming home.
I just don't get it.
What happened to the American dream?
