Found in a guys cellar today. Told me to take or its going to the dump. Said its been sitting there since 1978. Missing brakes an jackshaft the engine fired on starting fluid.

You must mean jackshaft and not swing arm, for this rigid rear end bike. :thumbsup:

I worked on the engine today. Took the head of checked the cylinder. Cylinder looks great. I put on another diaphragm carb on engine runs great and doesnt smoke.

Little more progress. I worked on the forks got them free and working good. I cleaned some of the chrome. Still need to work on the wheels. Gonna get a carb kit for the original diaphragm carb. Runs and idles fine with the temporary carb. Might just put a hackshaft in it for the time being just to putt around the neighborhood.

you should get some brakes first or you'd better go real slow. it looks like that bike used a brake caliper on the rear sprocket .
