TEC exhaust NPT thread tap ?

Cory. I didn't see the label on your tap but make sure it's npt and not npts or nps for nation pipe straight. There is a straight pipe thread with 14 threads per inch also

1/4" thick steel and 1" pipe nipple.

Cut main hole at 7/8" and ground the threads down until it could be tapped in with the hammer.

Then welded from the inside of the flange, then used a de-burring tool to smooth the exit.

I used one of these Carbide Bitts in the drill press to do the main hole.

Ya see what I'm saying about no meat left to thread it.

With the bolt holes, there is very little wall left to do a thread. That's why I made the flange.
