Those Sting Ray type bikes with the Briggs are bad ass. Interesting I don't see a throttle mechanism on the handlebars I wonder if they had foot throttles...?
Flexo used to offer all the components needed to convert-a-bike into a mini-bike. Was a better world back then.

My sister found a photo of me from 1973 on my lime green Sears mini bike with a scrub brake and 3 hp Tecumseh engine.
I paid $109.00 with money I earned delivering newspapers.
Mom’s ’69 Thunderbird is in the background.



Another photo with my dad on the same bike.
I believe the car is a neighbor's Datsun.



My latest project will be painted the same lime green color in homage to this bike.

Me at 14, in 1988, now 45. This is me on my ARCO II chopper. This is my first Minibike I ever built. This pic was taken by my mom about 5 minutes of me getting it running, the 1st run!! All I had was the frame, front forks , seat n sissy bar. The rear wheel came from a Honda CT70. That wheel is still on today. The engine is a Robin 2 stroke, same as the ones on the moto-skeeter. The engine mount was a VW bug front bumper cut out to make a mount plate. View attachment 251837
