Think it's a real mini engine?

I picked this up today guy said it came off a rupp? Looks to be a real mini bike engine but I'm not sure. Any idea?

Throttle says YES and its a 1971. Great find

Can we see a photo of the crank pto side and seal

I'd say it's a mini engine but what Rupp used an H30 in 71? Either way a silver Tec is a great find!

Found him on letgo

I picked up this HS40 for $5 last week. I was told it runs with carb cleaner but haven't messed with it yet myself. It's a snowblower engine so that gives me hope since theyre not usually quite as abused as much as some other engines.

The silver engines were normally used on Karts, but MTD used them on their bikes as well -- thought, I'm not sure they ever used an H30. Rupp painted all of their engines black after 1970, so it's not a Rupp engine.

Nice find on that stuff either way.

That last one you posted looks like a '69. Nice find for sure
